CTI Medtech Event 2009

Lead: Like in the past, the best four projects have been presented in the morning session to the 300 participants of the CTI Medtech Event. During lunchtime they could visit the Poster session and talk to researchers and also vote for their favourite project.

And the winner is……Sensimed AG! The CEO of Sensimed, Mister Jean-Marc Wismer (center), received the CTI Swiss Medtech Award for the development of an intraocular manometer that can help to prevent from glaucoma (green star) disease. He received the award from Lutz Nolte (left), Head of CTI Medtech, and Ingrid Kissling-Näf, Head of the Innovation Promotion Agency CTI. Mister Cédric Bornand of the University of Applied Sciences Canton Vaud (HEIG-VD) is missing on the picture.
Also this year more than 300 researchers and specialists gathered in the Casino in Bern to attend the CTI Medtech Award, despite the fantastic sunshine weather.
In between the different program parts the participants had the chance to see an impressive Poster session and to talk to the researchers.
Valentin Chapero (CEO Sonova Holding AG), Gery Colombo (CEO Hocoma AG), Jörg Mayer (CEO WW Technology AG), and Ciro Römer (President EMEA & Global Operations Synthes AG) participated at an interesting round table discussion, which was lead by Lutz Nolte (Head of CTI Medtech).
