Implementation of new KTT Support – NTN call finished
21.05.2012 - The Board of the CTI is reorienting the strategy on KTT Support. With the commencement of the 2013-2016 ERI Dispatch period, three elements will be introduced which are intended to provide sustainable support to the innovation activities of Swiss businesses:
- Support via national thematic networks (NTN)
- Support via innovation mentors (IM)
- Information and networking via physical and web-based platforms
The submission deadline regarding the call for national thematic networks (NTN), which began on 2 March 2012 expired on 18 May 2012. We would like to thank all those who applied for the numerous submissions. The two-phase evaluation process conducted by CTI experts has now begun. Applicants will be notified of the next steps in accordance with the conditions of participation.
The four aims of KTT Support:
1. Focus on business: KTT Support should bring together business, particularly SMEs, and public research institutions, where this is not possible without support.
2. Focus on innovation: The aim is to establish cooperation, which serve as motors for innovation for Switzerland - more than generating new CTI projects.
3. Results-oriented: CTI funding is granted on the basis of performance, which is to be demonstrated in a pragmatic and results-oriented manner.
4. Making the most of existing structures: The new strategy is based on experience gathered to date, taking the positive from existing consortiums and networks and developing them further.
