The winner of this year’s CTI Swiss Medtech Award is the company Aïmago and the EPFL with their joint innovation project “Laser Doppler Imaging (LDI) System Design Platform”. The project partners have developed a device to measure dermal blood flow.

The CTI Swiss Medtech Best Poster Award 2011 went to the team of Professor Caversaccio of the University of Bern’s ARTORG Center for their “High Precision Robot” project.

Federal Councillor Johann Schneider-Ammann issued the first three Innovation Vouchers, worth CHF 350,000 and CHF 330,000 respectively, to the companies Philochem, Compliant Concept and Lonza.

Over 550 participants took part in the CTI Medtech Event, which has been held on nine occasions thus far. Around 60 very professionally designed project posters were presented, giving rise to numerous technical discussions.
